Hartmut Mayer

Dr. Hartmut Mayer is an Official Fellow and Tutor in Politics and International Relations at St. Peter‘s College at Oxford University, Executive Director (CEO) of the Europaeum, a network of leading European Universities as well as Adjunct-Professor in European Politics at Johns Hopkins University, SAIS Bologna.

Prior to that he was, among other, Guest Professor at the University of Hamburg and at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies (2011-2014), and Visiting Professor at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, at ULB Bruxelles and Sciences Po Paris.

In the past, he was a visiting researcher at the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politi (SWP) in Berlin, at the Finnish Institute for International Affairs in Helsinki and as a JSPS Research Fellow at Waseda University, Tokyo. Mayer is a political consultant at Oxford Analytica since 1999.

Prior to his academic career, he worked as a free-lance journalist, among other, for the German Press Agency, North German Radio (NDR), Süddeutsche Zeitung and DIE ZEIT.
